Amarillo, Texas

A straightforward drive and a late arrival at our hotel in Amarillo, so we went straight to bed. As we woke up the next day, the sky was grey and the wind was blowing so forcibly as if there might be a hurricane on its way. So we decided to skip a planned visit to Cadillac Ranch and Palo Duro Canyon and used the morning to get some laundry done and tidy up the car. Both greatly needed. Meanwhile, a storm was outside.

And then without the slightest look at the city we were staying in, we ran to the car and started driving South hoping for better weather at our next stop.
